Leadership Practices: what are your true colours?

🌟 Exploring Your Leadership Colours

Leadership is not a fixed identity—it’s a dynamic set of practices that evolve as we grow, reflect, and engage with others. In this exercise, you’ll explore 15 leadership practices that represent different ways leaders can create impact.

🧭 Your Assignment

For each of the 15 practices:

  1. Read the description carefully.
  2. Reflect honestly on how this practice shows up in your leadership today.
  3. Categorize each practice into one of the following:

🎨 Beautiful Colours

“This is me.”
You recognize this practice as a strength. You apply it often, enjoy doing so, and see results from it.

🎨 Ugly Colours

“This is not me.”
You rarely or never apply this practice. You may feel uncomfortable with it, lack skill, or simply not see it as part of your leadership identity—yet.

🎨 Colours to Discover

“This could be me.”
You’re curious. You see potential value in this practice and want to explore it further, even if it’s unfamiliar or underdeveloped.

🎯 What Happens Next?

Once you’ve completed your colour mapping, use your insights to shape your learning questions:

  • What do I want to develop further?
  • What do I want to explore more deeply?
  • What do I want to strengthen or refine?

This reflection will help you define your personal leadership development path and guide future coaching, training, or peer learning.
